Located on the ocean in Myrtle Beach, S.C., the Poindexter Oceanfront Resort is adjacent to shopping, dining and entertainment in the downtown area, six blocks from the Pavilion and one mile from Myrtle Beach Square Mall. This attractive resort offers fun for the whole family and plenty of on-site amenities, including beach access, indoor and outdoor pools, a children's pool, outdoor whirlpool and exercise room. Caroline's Cafe, affiliated with the resort and located across the street, serves light American fare. All units are air-conditioned and feature balconies (efficiencies have private balconies), cable television, VCRs and coffeemakers. Standard oceanview rooms have two double beds and small refrigerators, while oceanfront and oceanview efficiencies have two queen beds and kitchenettes. Family owned, Poindexter is a friendly, amenity-filled resort near all the excitement Myrtle Beach has to offer. A $5 key deposit per room key is required at check-in. The minimum check-in age is 18, but any group under the age of 25 must pay a $200 security deposit (in the form of cash or traveler's checks only) per unit at check-in. The deposit will be refunded via mail if guests check out prior to 8 a.m. If guests check out after 8 a.m., their deposit will be refunded at the front desk, provided the room has been inspected and the guests' contract has not been broken.
